i LIKE THIS 2 PIECE DRESS. I ALSO, LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS, WISH THE DRESS UNDERNEATH SHOWED A LITTLE MORE AT THE HEMLINE. OVERALL IT IS FUN TO WEAR WITH BOOTS AND TIGHTS.

Variety being the spice of life...

...this dress brings plenty of wardrobe options to the party. Having lots of fun pairing the two layers with other pieces already in my closet (both together and individually) for several different looks. The fabric feels wonderful against the skin and has suffered no ill effects from being washed cold/gentle and tumble dried on low (note-I did use a very gentle, all natural detergent just in case) It has the appearance and warmth of a heavier fabric, but feels so light and silky-I can't wait to see how it wears during hot, humid weather as well. The inside layer is an interesting combination of sleeveless style and a loose, turtleneck neckline. Layers beautifully with a scoopnecked top, and NO sleeves to get twisted underneath. Very pleased with this purchase!
Pros: diversity of looks possible, fabric feels 'hardly there', held up perfectly after washing
Cons: only 2 color combos

This dress looks super cute in the picture, but I was so disappointed to get it. The material is like a tee shirt, very thin and the colors were drab. The fit is pretty good although the bottom layer did not peek out like it does in the picture. For that much $ I want the dress to look great!

I get many compliments on this dress

I was initially unsure of this dress because of its awkward collar. You'll know what I mean when you try it on. BUT, when I wear it out, I get many compliments on it because it's the perfect fall dress which looks great with the two layers. It looks super comfy, feels super comfy and hangs well. I wear it with boots.
I'm 5'4 and 128 and the medium fits perfectly.
Message for Horny Toad team. I'm on the lookout for organic cotton clothes. Please add more eco green fabrics to your line. Thanks!!
Pros: looks & feels awesome
Cons: weird collar but maybe that's part of the charm

Great idea but...

The dress is pretty bulky with both layers on and neither layer by itself was motivation enough for me to keep the dress. I am a true size 10, about 5'5". Usually wear a L in HT dresses and a M in HT shirts/pants/skirts. I M in this dress might have been a better fit for me, but I could not get past the bulk issue.
Pros: versatility
Cons: bulky
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thin material but attractive

Fits well but very thin material. I will have to wear a warm slip, thick tights and boots to make this last into the winter. Very attractive in color. Licorice is more orange red than cherry red.
